Two-Week Academy | Ages 12-18Create Digital Content and Images like a Pro
Every image we see in media today is created using digital photography and image editing software. Whether students are considering a graphic design career or curious about how it all works this course will give them a deep dive into the fundamentals.
Week 1, Intro to Digital Photography & Photoshop: Students will learn how to create stunning digital photography and enhance imagery in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Students will build up their digital photography techniques first, then transition to developing their software and editing skills. By the end of the course, students will have a portfolio of professionally shot and edited photographs, and an understanding of how the photography industry works.
Week 2, Graphic Design with Photoshop & Illustrator: Students will start out learning the fundamentals of graphic design, using the Adobe Creative Suite and project-based learning. They will learn the design process, color theory, typography, and how to recreate professional media and advertisements. At the end of the week, students will have a portfolio of designs and develop a final project piece that allows them to focus on their passion and emulates a real-world client.

About Photography and Design Courses
Our design courses prepare students with the skills they will need working in professional design, illustration, and animation careers. The Digital Photography and Graphic Design Academy empowers students with the skills that photographers and graphic designers use every day. Students in this course will receive a one year license for Adobe Creative Cloud. Students will explore professional design workflows working on original projects. Camp Upgrades
Get the most out of your summer with Digital Media Academy when you add any or all of the following:

Lunch Plan
Make things easy and get lunch on campus so you don’t have to pack your own. Lunch Plans start at $95/week at select locations.

Overnight Housing
Stay in the dorms and eat on-campus, Sunday through Friday. Overnight Housing starts at $695/week where available.

Extended Day
Our flexible Extended Day option allows families to pick-up students as late as 6:00 PM from Monday to Thursday at all locations.

Weekend Stay
Add Weekend Stay and enjoy extra activities and day trips around the area. Weekend Stay starts at $380/weekend at select locations.
