Applied Data Science & Artificial Intelligence with Python

One-Week Course | Ages 12-18

Build Neural Nets to Play Games and Do Your Homework

Artifical Intelligence and automation are expected to replace nearly half of all jobs that are currently done by 16-24 year olds. Get ahead of this trend by learning how the machines that will do those jobs work! This course builds on students existing knowledge of the basics of Python and machine learning. Students will build a digital machine that can do a book report and have the opportunity to build neural nets that play games and translate text.

At the beginning of the week, students will explore how artificial intelligence applies to data, tools, and services then learn how they can apply AI to their own projects. By the end of the week, students will dive in the theory and math of machine learning, and solve data problems using those skills and strategies.

About Artificial Intelligence + Coding Courses

Artificial Intelligence courses at Digital Media Academy are overseen by Dr. Yuval Shahar, M.D., Ph.D, an AI pioneer and leader in the field of artificial intelligence in medicine. Dr. Shahar is a computer scientist and physician, and a researcher in the multidisciplinary field of artificial intelligence in medicine, focusing on medical decision-support systems for physicians and for patients, and on automated knowledge discovery from time-oriented clinical data. Dr. Shahar received his Ph.D. from Stanford University, in 1994, where he continued to work as a Senior Research Scientist and Assistant Professor of Medicine (Biomedical Informatics) and Computer Science until 2000. In 2000, Dr. Shahar founded and began leading the Medical Informatics Research Center at Ben-Gurion University.

Computer programming code runs your devices and the world. In the AI and Machine Learning Academy, students will take a deep dive into the complex algorithms that are making computers smarter than ever. Use neural nets to finally beat that game you’ve never been able to or improve projects using computer vision to find patterns. No programming experience is required, but a strong understanding of algebra and comfort with mathematics is highly recommended. Explore more coding and artificial intelligence courses.
