UCLA Campus Facts

UCLA was founded in 1882 and quickly became as famous as the city in which it was founded. Sports programs at UCLA have won 125 national titles, 250 Olympic medals, and 10 NCAA basketball championships. Not to be outdone, the Media and Arts programs also boast a number of accomplishments.

Alumni such as John Williams (of Star Wars, Jaws, and Superman fame), James Franco, Maroon 5, Linkin Park, and The Doors have all walked the halls of UCLA. Due to its proximity to Hollywood, the school has often set the stage for filming television and big screen favorites. This popularity makes it one of the most internationally-recognized universities in the United States.
